I recently spent a night at Congress Hall and it was a good experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly front desk staff, though I did experience a few service hiccups during dinner. My room was comfortable and elegantly decorated, but the uneven floors made walking a bit challenging. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a charming getaway.

My room was not only clean but also beautifully decorated, reminiscent of a classic movie set. The bedding was plush, although I did struggle a bit with the uneven floors.

While the staff were generally enthusiastic and helpful, I did experience some inconsistency in service quality during dining. Still, their efforts to make my stay enjoyable were evident.

The on-site amenities like the pool area looked inviting, but I didn't get a chance to use them. The hotel had a lovely outdoor space that enhanced my overall experience.

My recent stay at Congress Hall was a mix of good and frustrating moments. The historic charm and prime location added to the experience, though some technical issues and noise disruptions detracted from the overall enjoyment. I appreciated the attentive staff and good dining options, but there were some areas that could use improvement.

I had high hopes for my stay at Congress Hall but came away feeling mixed. The historic charm of the hotel is truly captivating, and I appreciated the attentive service from some staff members like Max at the pool. However, I encountered a few issues with service and the cancellation policy that left me disappointed. Overall, it was a beautiful setting but lacked consistency in guest experience.

Rooms

My room was charming, but it showed signs of age. The windows were a bit noisy, and I noticed some crooked floors which made me a bit uncomfortable during the night.
Service

While some staff were really good, like Max who was super helpful, others seemed overwhelmed. I struggled a bit with some basics, and the greeting upon arrival could've been much warmer.

The hotel offers solid amenities, though I would have liked to see better organization, especially in busy times. The service at the pool could use improvement, and a more flexible cancellation policy would definitely help.

I had a wonderful stay at Congress Hall, where the historic charm and luxurious oceanfront views truly enhanced my experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful, making me feel welcomed and well cared for. However, I did encounter a few minor inconveniences, such as a lack of in-room coffee makers and some slow service at the pool. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for its ambiance and excellent location near the beach and shops.

Rooms

My oceanfront room was beautifully decorated and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful stay. I loved sitting on the balcony, soaking in the stunning views of the ocean. However, I did notice that some of the furniture looked a bit dated.
Service

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any requests. I appreciated the prompt responses to my queries. On a few occasions, though, I experienced longer wait times for meals and poolside service, which was a bit frustrating.
Location
9.0
Congress Hall's location is absolutely perfect, right across from the beach and within walking distance to charming shops and restaurants. I enjoyed the convenience of being able to explore nearby attractions easily. However, there was some noise from the busy street, which at times affected the tranquility of my stay.
Dining
8.0
I thoroughly enjoyed the meals at the Blue Pig Tavern, where both breakfast and lunch options were deliciously prepared. The Brown Room bar also had a fantastic selection of cocktails. My only drawback was that the service could be a bit slow during peak times, which made meal times a bit lengthy.
Facilities
7.0
Congress Hall offers a lovely pool area, which looked inviting, but I found the adult pool a little smaller than expected. The gardens around the hotel were well-kept and added to the overall serene environment. I wish there had been more amenities available, like in-room coffee makers to start my mornings right.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at Congress Hall. The historic charm and beautiful architecture of the hotel made for a captivating atmosphere, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and efficient. However, the room I received didn't live up to my expectations given the premium price. Overall, it was a pleasant getaway but with room for improvements in room quality and dining transparency.

Rooms

I was disappointed with the condition of my room, particularly the bathroom with its broken sink and lack of basic amenities like a coffee maker. However, I did appreciate the comfortable bed and the decor.

The hotel's location is unmatched, just steps away from the beach and close to unique shops. It truly is in the perfect spot in Cape May for enjoying both the ocean and local attractions.
